Yorkshire Appetite is currently on an adventure in Central America, and this time we’re lucky enough to be visiting a beautiful coffee farm at El Carmen, near Ataco in El Salvador! 🌱 Here we experienced first-hand how coffee makes its incredible journey from farm to cup. Everything here is still done by hand—from picking to processing the beans using machinery that’s been used for years! A little snippet behind the scenes into a Food Tour Guide’s day! 🤩 On this one we’re prepping for our Harrogate food tour and the fun starts early as we dash around town gathering all the tasty treats for our guests. First stop? Picking up the finest local cheeses from @thecheeseboard1 to create the perfect cheese boards. Then it’s off to @halesbar to deliver the cheese for safekeeping. After that, we head to @coldbathdeli to grab fresh cakes (because no tour is complete without something sweet!), before finally heading over to meet our lovely guests at @starlinghgte From there, the real adventure begins as we guide our foodies around the best spots sharing local stories and hidden gems along the way. It’s a busy, food-filled day, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We tried out the Food Hall at White Cloth Hall next to the Corn Exchange in Leeds, and it’s definitely worth a visit... Can anyone guess what this is? 💭 Whilst on our wonderful Florence Food Tour, we really dived into the heart of Italian cuisine and discovered a local delicacy - Lampredotto. Intrigued by its name and curious about its origin, we soon learned that Lampredotto is a traditional Florentine dish crafted from the fourth stomach of cattle, known as the abomasum. I would love to say it tastes better than it looks but…it’s all a matter of personal preference!
